Perfect Steak

Grilling a good steak is an art!  The deep color, the grill marks, the perfect pink on the inside! When you get it right you know it! It’s tender and juicy  and you need very little effort to cut it. The flavor is perfection! The problem for me used to be that my steaks were inconsistent. Sometimes I nailed and other times it was tough as the bottom of a shoe! That sound appetizing, right?

Thankfully, Over the years I have perfected how to make the perfect steak every time!  And the best part is this is one you can do indoors!  Yep, you do not need to bundle up if its winter and deal with the grill or worry about the usual questions -Am I out of propane, do I have any charcoal, is the grill dirty, is it going to rain etc, etc! No, we are going to do this perfect steak right on your counter top!

First off, preheat your grill to 400. The smokeless grill I used is linked in my storefront on the front page of this website. Its under $60 and I absolutely love it! Lightweight and easy to clean and the edges of the grill do not get hot. After letting your marinated steaks come to room temp, I used Strip Steaks this time,  place them on the screamin hot grill for about 15 minutes per side only flipping them once.  Don’t move them around, check them, press them down like a grilled cheese — none of that.  Just let them cook! Use a temp gauge for the temperature you’re looking for.  I like a medium with a little pink inside. Once done, take them off the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes and cut.

Don’t cut the steaks before you’ve let them rest  before you’ve let them rest because all the delicious juice will run out! This method will give yout he prefect indoor or outdoor grilled steak every single time!
