Mixed Berries Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie Bowls are the perfect meal for breakfast when you are looking for a healthy pick me up on your WW journey!  I love eggs but sometime  I wake up looking for something cold and sweet .. and of course healthy!  The WW friendly smoothie bowls I make are very thick and creamy!  You cannot drag these babies through a straw!  These bowls are hearty and satisfying.  I personally do not count blended fruit as points UNLESS it is more than one serving of fruit and yogurt I would sit down and eat raw.  So in other words if my smoothie bowl is mainly going to be banana and I use 2 bananas, I will take a point on that.  Because I wouldn’t eat 2 bananas in one sitting raw.  That’s the way I always counted blended fruits for the last 2 years!   But, you do what works for you!

Frozen strawberries before they are blended

Sometimes I do a berry base, especially when Im reducing down carbs and working a WW Low carb week.  Berries are the lowest in carbs of all the fruits plus they are my favorite. I limit the bananas because one banana is pretty high in carbs — although healthy and on the zero point list for WW. Peaches are wonderful to turn into Smoothie Bowls and so are blueberries and, well, anything!

Top with a nice crunch and a little healthy fats and you are in business!  I like to add things like pistachios, peanuts, Cacao Nibs, coconut flakes (for family members) even  crunchy cereals like Grapenuts and even cheerios! The only limit is the points and your imagination!
