Strawberry prappuccino in a mason jar

Copycat Strawberry Frappuccino

How much damage will a Starbucks Frappuccino REALLY do on my weight loss journey?

I’m so glad you asked!  Many of us LOVE Starbucks!  We have grown a custom to hitting the drive through for a Caramel latte or a Vanilla Cappuccino (no whop of course!) as we hit the road to get our day started.

Some of us, have even refused to give up our coffee the way we like it in the morning.  Afterall, how much damage can that Frappuccino really do on my WW or any other weight loss journey for that matter?

Well….If the sugar doesn’t knock you out, the calories surely will. Starbucks Frappuccinos are far less like a “coffee” and much more like a milkshake!  You might as well wait for DQ to open and grab a large hot fudge brownie sundae!

A better version to  the rescue!

Starbucks likes to tell us they have skinny versions of many drinks on their menu.  And yes, they certainly do.  But to make this Copycat Frap we had to do a little crafting!

I wanted to make sure you had that frothy milk shake consistency that comes with the high calorie, sugar laden version.  I was shooting for that “cold and creamy milk shake” strawberry burst of flavor but with low points for all WW (Weight Watchers) plans and BONUS low carb!   And in this recipe, we hit the nail on the head!

With only a few ingredients you can make this at home and feel none of the guilt!  You control the ingredients and you know they are fresh!

Swaps?

You can also use vanilla protein powder if that’s what you have on hand.  I would use one scoop with this recipe. And if you need it a bit sweeter you can add some sugar substitute like Swerve Confectioners Sugar

The one I linked here offer both granular and powdered.  And if you cant find the Smuckers SF Topping you can go with these as well!

As always — let me know how you like it in the comments!  I read them all!

  1. Ooo, want to try this! I have never purchased a protein drink, ever. Which ones are WW points friendly and taste good? I would buy one or two to try in this but as a rule, I don’t drink them.

    • Premier Protein is 2 points for the whole carton so very low point. Fairlife is also good. Just be sure to buy vanilla. Good luck and let me know what you think!

      • Would love to pin this, but can’t find it on Pinterest.

        • You can pin anything you would like! Just hover over and everything has a pin icon or there’s one at the bottom of the post.

        • A lot of people dont realize there is no coffee in a frappuccino LOL!

  2. I always enjoy your recipes. My ingredients for this would be raspberry. I’m out of strawberries right now. I’ll make it this afternoon with substitutions.
